Updates to the Field Indicators of Hydric Soils April 15, 2015 Posted by mike@soilhub.com No Comments The National Technical Committee for Hydric Soils just published an updated set of errata for The Field Indicators of Hydric Soils, version 7.0. We have already incorporated those updates into our mobile Hydric Soil Web App. So, what’s new… Two recently approved Indicators F22. Very Shallow Dark Surface S12. Barrier Islands 1 cm Muck One new Test Indicator TS7. Barrier Islands Low Chroma Matrix In addition, a clarification was made to the wording in Indicators A11. Depleted Below Dark Surface and A12. Thick Dark Surface emphasizing that the dark surface needs to occur in the upper 6 inches (15 cm). The full set of changes can be viewed in the errata document.
