A layer(s) 10 cm (4 inches) or more thick in which 60 percent or more of the matrix has value of 4 or more and chroma of 1 or less. The layer starts at a depth ≤15 cm (6 inches) from the soil surface.
User Notes: This indicator is applicable in deltaic accreting areas along the Mississippi River.
